What is the Purpose of Your Life?

Monday 30 November 2009 @ 8:22 pm

The true measure of your life is not how long you live, but how much joy and happiness you experience in your life.

How many joyful moments can you cram in?  Just one a week?  One a day?  How about feeling joyful as best you can in every moment.

It doesn’t matter what the rest of the world is doing.  It doesn’t matter other people are unhappy or miserable.  Does joining them in their unhappiness and misery help them?

No it just makes you feel terrible. The best gift you can give someone is your own joy.  It lifts others up out of their hole as you are a living source of hope to them.
The only effect the outside world has on you is the attention you personally give it.

Don’t pay any attention to the wars, the economic crisis or the other woes of the world.

Let those who want to play war games engage in it.  Let those who want to be caught up in a so-called depression to be affected by it.  And let those who worry about every little thing do so.

What others choose to do has no effect whatsoever on how you choose to live your life? Choose what you want to create in your reality.  And allow the rest of the world to choose what it wants.

The best measuring stick of success is how much fun, joy and laughter you experience in your life.

Make every day happy and you will end up living a very successful and joyful life indeed.

digital pulse oximeter – The Benefits of Travel Coffee Mugs

Monday 30 November 2009 @ 10:26 am

Not long ago the primary benefit of travel coffee mugs were that they allowed you to safely sip your coffee or tea while on the move or in a vehicle. They didn’t necessarily come with insulation or the best designs, but they did allow you much more stability than a regular household mug. They prevented burns and spills, and kept the beverage much warmer than a mug that was open to the air.

Now, however, there is a huge array of travel coffee mugs that can serve a fairly wide range of needs. There are smaller sizes meant to handle a single serving when someone heads out the door, and there are also massive containers that are able to take two to three servings on the road. Most are entirely insulated, including strong sealed lids that can keep a hot beverage incredibly warm for many hours. Alternately, they can also keep a cold beverage in the desired temperature range for a length of time as well.

All of this is great news to fans of coffee because it means that tons of money can be saved if someone wants to tote a larger travel coffee mug with them as they head out the door each day. Consider that even a “cheap” cup of coffee can run to a dollar or more and someone who drinks a few cups each morning might spend several dollars every day on coffee alone. This can quickly add up, but if a larger insulated travel mug is used, that three to four dollar daily expense would be cut to mere pennies instead.

Travel coffee mugs are used by the millions and this is the reason that they have become one of the most popular corporate “freebies” in the world. All kinds of promotions include a well-made and insulated travel mug that is given out as a way of spreading the word about a product or company. If you consider how many people drink coffee as they head to work, and how many more bring their travel mugs to their desks to prevent spills, it is easy to see that giving them away can really work wonders for any sort of campaign.

Of course saving money and successful marketing are not the only reasons that people should consider investing in a few travel coffee mugs. The environment benefits greatly from the use of these beverage holders as well. All kinds of studies have been done about the switch from disposable cups to travel mugs, and today most major coffee and donut shops offer all kinds of special deals to their regular customers who bring in a travel mug each day.

Additionally, the resources saved by people switching to travel mugs is impressive as well. It is estimated that enough trees to fill up to two football fields could be spared every day if only one hundred thousand people opted out of paper coffee cups and used travel mugs instead. What does that equal in financial terms? Roughly two thousand six hundred dollars in just a single day on paper cups would be eliminated!

Consider a small portable safe for storage if you have frequent guests or domestic staff at your home.  Securing your valuables mitigates such perils as fire damage and theft.  If you make a claim, the travel insurance travel insurance companies carrier will inquire as to how you store your valuables.  Your answer may not hinder the claims process, but it may determine future premiums. Your response could also be taken into consideration should you have future claims.

Check your  travel insurance travel insurance companies policy for limits on jewelry.

An travel insurance travel insurance companies policy may include a dollar limit on jewelry.  The limit could be as little as $100.   If you are not sure, contact your travel insurance travel insurance companies company.  USAA, Geico, Farmers, and many other travel insurance travel insurance companies carriers employ highly trained licensed agents and adjusters.  They should be able to provide specific answers on covered perils and spot limits on your policy.  It is better to know this information prior to making a claim.

If you have a large jewelry collection, take inventory.

If your travel insurance travel insurance companies company determines you have a covered loss, they may require proof of purchase.  It is a good idea to keep all your receipts, invoices, and appraisals.  If you don’t have proof of purchase, make an itemized list of all the jewelry you have.  On the same list, document the approximate date of purchase and value.   This applies even if all your jewelry was given to you as gifts.  Having this information will help move the claims process along quickly.   This is will also give you leverage if you find yourself in a position to negotiate a settlement with your carrier.

Consider purchasing a separate policy for your jewelry.

If you own a collection or a single piece of jewelry worth over $2K, this is highly recommended.  Contact your travel insurance travel insurance companies company to see if such an option is available.  If not, shop around! These policies are normally very reasonably priced.  They are often referred to as Personal Article Floaters or Floaters. The burden of proof is your responsibility.

Your travel insurance travel insurance companies agent will specify all the information you need to provide before they will cover your claim.  This will likely include a police report, proof of loss, any pictures of the items, and an itemized list.  The longer it takes you to provide this information, the longer it will take the travel insurance travel insurance companies company to settle your claim.

Airline Ground Services: the Aviation Quarterly with its Ear to the Ground – digital oximeter

Monday 30 November 2009 @ 2:54 am

Airline Ground Services, one of the publications from aviation news publishers EVA International (www.evaint.com), is the only aviation quarterly to cover comprehensively the full diversity of services airlines can now avail themselves of whilst in the airport environment. The publication reports on news and issues surrounding the services procured by airlines on the ground, such as ground handling on the ramp, passenger handling and baggage handling; but it is also a key resource for features on refuelling, line maintenance, catering, IT, cabin repair and cleaning.

Airlines are now outsourcing a much wider array of ground services than ever before, both on the ramp and inside the terminal building. Recession has brought with it the desire for many airlines to optimise balance sheets, reduce inventories of ground support equipment and IT-enable processes to drive efficiencies through their organisations. On the other hand, some airlines have developed an insourced ground handling strategy, associating their brand with their customers’ experiences on the ground and thereby refusing to let go of these very important airline ground operations. The diverse approach to airline ground services are all reflected in the newly updated Airline Ground Services publication (formerly titled Airline Handling International).

The quarterly from leading aviation news company EVA International includes up-to-the-minute airline industry news, focus features on issues affecting the world of airline ground services and insightful interviews with heads of procurement at all types of airlines, from budget and regional to charter, scheduled and cargo.

Airline Ground Services is one of three key aviation publications from magazine publishers and exhibition organisers EVA International. Combined with Executive & VIP Aviation International and Airside International, the three quarterlies cover all of the latest news and features salient to the aviation world.
